Contingency Fee Basis
FBS Property Tax Abatement provides abatement services on a risk-free
contingency basis. We are paid a portion of your tax savings only if we
are successful in reducing the property taxes. |
Important Dates
March – Counties begin requesting information regarding income and expenses for
all income-producing properties.
July 1 – Last day for the County Appraiser to submit its taxroll to Department of
Revenue for approval.
July – Mailing of notifications of denied exemptions and classifications begins.
July 31 – (or 30 days following the mailing of denial notices) Last day to file appeal
petitions on denied exemptions and agricultural classifications.
August – Mailing of Proposed Taxes (TRIM notices) begins.
September – (or 25 days following the mailing of TRIM notices) Last day to file a
petition contesting property value.
October – Value Adjustment Board hearings begin.
November – Mailing of tax bills to property owners.
December 31 – Last day in which residency may be established in the home for
which a homestead exemption will be filed for the next tax year.
